SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 25 AT NOON, ARTISTS DROP THE CURTAINS AND RAISE THE SPIRITS WITH CHRISTMAS-THEMED WINDOW DISPLAYS

CHICAGO, IL – PILSEN (Nov. 25, 2023) — Pilsen-based nonprofit organization, Economic Strategies Development Corporation (ESDC) kicks off its 4th Annual ESDC Pilsen Christmas Window Walk on November 25, 2023, the day of Small Business Saturday®. The windows will be unveiled at participating locations starting at 12:00 pm. Come join us on Nov 25, to kick off the event while the curtains drop, unveiling the holiday creations by your favorite artists. For participating artists and businesses, see the list below.

Participating businesses have been paired up with an artist or chose to be their own artist to design a holiday-themed storefront display. From November 25 – January 7, individuals and families can walk off those holiday calories to marvel at the hand-crafted festive creations from over a dozen citywide artists in Pilsen. While doing so, spectators can partake in the contest by voting for their favorite decorated window that captures the essence of the Christmas spirit by scanning the QR code displayed on the window. Last day is December 21.

In its forth year, ESDC developed this outdoor and family-friendly event to promote economic development to local businesses in Pilsen. Its goal is to inspire holiday cheer and bring Christmas magic among residents and businesses.

In addition to being recognized as the winner of the 2023 ESDC Pilsen Christmas Window Walk art contest, the 1st place-winning artist and business pairs will each receive $1,000. The 2nd-place winners will receive $500, while two 3rd-place will receive $250. The winners are to be announced on December 22.
